Remote Tester

This circuit can be used for testing your TV, DVD, VCD, etc. remote control. This is the fundamental module for making infrared based object counter.

According to the datasheet of TSOP4838, the input voltage to IR sensor should be 3V-5V. When the sensor gets infrared signal, the voltage at its VO pin drops and that triggers the BC557 transistor. At each trigger signal, BC557 glows the LED. Thus, you can see the response of your remote control signal.

It is a Project entirely made for the beginners. Even this was my first project.

The IR SENSOR used here is TSOP4838 but if that's not available in your are then you can use another IR SENSOR like TSOP1738. One thing to kept in mind is that the pin sequence is not same in all IR SENSOR, BELOW is the pin sequence of two famous IR SENSOR :- TSOP 4838 and TSOP1738.

There is a video below demonstrating how the ciruit works.

And here is a finished project on breadboard. Sorry for the bad quality of picture  but I don't have any SLR.
